Elks Most Valuable Student

Deadline: November 12, 2025       Amount: $1000-$7000 per year

  • Current high school seniors, or the equivalent, who are citizens of the United States are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
  • High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
  • Scholarships are available only to students who enroll in four-year undergraduate degree programs at accredited U.S. American colleges or universities.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

Deadline: November 12, 2025      Amount: up to $160,000 ($40,000 per year for four years)

  • Senior standing – Complete four years of high school in the U.S., a U.S territory, or on a U.S. military base and plan to graduate in spring 2026.
  • Fall College Enrollment – Intend to enroll in an accredited four-year college beginning in fall 2026.
  • GPA – Earn a minimum, cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.75 or above.
  • Test Scores — Submit standardized test score(s) from one of the following: SAT, ACT, AP, or IB exam. There is no minimum score requirement to apply, however, applicants must have taken one (or more) of these tests and submit the score.
  • Demonstrate Unmet Financial Need – We will consider applicants with family annual gross income up to $95,000. During the selection process, the Foundation will conduct a full financial review which will take into account all income and assets of the student and the student’s parents.

Geneva Rock Scholarship

Deadline: November 15, 2025   Amount: $2000

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university, college, trade, or vocational school.
  • Scholarship applicants must be in pursuit of construction-related careers including, but not limited to: Construction management, civil engineering, business, and commercial/professional sales. Students involved in trades such as welding, diesel tech, heavy equipment operations, and building tech are also welcome to apply.
  • High school seniors are eligible to apply but must be enrolled in one of the previously mentioned institutions. All applicants must have received (or be in the process of attaining) their high school diploma or GED.
  • All applicants must be U.S. citizens, or be a legal permanent resident with work eligibility status.

ACF Visionary Scholarship

Deadline: December 1, 2025    Amount: $1,000 – $2500

  • Must be in the graduating class of 2026-2029
  • Must complete ACF Visionary Scholarship Application
  • Must submit a copy of the student’s most recent unofficial high school transcript
  • Must submit a 500 word, typed, double-spaced essay on “Why College is Important to Me.” All components of the application must be received for a student to be eligible for an award. Applications are judged on the ability to follow guidelines (25%), grammar and punctuation (25%), and the merit of the written essay (50%).
  • Must be United States Citizens or Eligible Non-Citizens and may be asked to participate in a qualification interview as part of the application process to assist the ACF in ultimately determining the winners

University of Utah – The Explore More Scholarship  

Priority Deadline: December 1, 2025    Final Deadline: February 15, 2026      Amount: $10,000

  • The Explore More Scholarship is available to new incoming freshman students, resident and nonresident, and transfer students from community colleges who are starting their first semester at the University of Utah.
  • Applicants must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on their most recent academic transcript and a strong background in mathematics, physics and chemistry. Participation in leadership and extracurricular activities is also a consideration.
  • If you are selected to receive the Explore More Scholarship, the delivery of the award is contingent on being admitted to the University of Utah, declaring Mining Engineering as your major and following the program of study.

Denny’s Hungry for Education

  • All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited educational institution (high school or college) in the continental United States or Puerto Rico.
  • All applicants must be citizens or permanent residents of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • If an applicant is under 18 and is selected as a potential HFE scholarship recipient, the student’s parent or legal guardian must sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Assignment of Rights to be confirmed as a winner.
  • Scholarship funds awarded to winners must be used for education, such as tuition and related fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses at an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
  • GPA Level Requirement: 2.5 or higher
  • Students must provide a 300-word (high school) or 500-word (college) essay on “How Denny’s can help bring communities together?”.
  • Student must also provide the following:

Jumpstart Coalition Scholarship

Ronald D. Weiss Scholarship

Deadline: December 15, 2025       Amount: up to $3500

  • Good Standing – Be in good academic standing with your current educational institution.
  • Age – If under 18, have the permission of your parent or guardian to apply.
  • Country / Citizenship – There is no restriction on students outside of the United States or non-citizens of the U.S. entering the contest.
  • Language / Laws – The submissions, including the essay, must all be in English and the essay must be based on U.S. laws and policies.
  • Recognized Academic Institution – The academic institution to where the applicant is currently enrolled and/or enrolled next year, needs to a recognized educational institution currently offering an academic educational curriculum to a body of students. However, the educational institution can be outside of the United States, and the student can be taking courses on-line or on a part-time basis. To qualify, the program in which the student is enrolled needs to be at least six (6) months in length and result in a certificate or degree.

L. Ron Hubbard’s Illustrator of the Future Contest

Deadline: December 31, 2025          Amount: $1,000, $750, $500 (1st, 2nd, 3rd prize)

  • Open to entrants from all nations.
  • All themes of science fiction and fantasy illustrations are welcome: every entry is judged on its own merits only.
  • Open to new and amateur artists who have not been professionally published and paid for their artwork.
  • Each entrant may submit only one set of illustrations in each Contest quarter. (Future quarterly deadlines March 30, June 30, September 30) The entry must be original to the entrant and previously unpublished.
  • The entry shall consist of three illustrations done by the entrant in a color or black-and-white medium created from the artist’s imagination.
  • No entry fee is required and all rights to the entry remain the property of the artist.

L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest

  • L. Ron Hubbard’s Writers of the Future Contest is an opportunity for new writers of science fiction and fantasy to have their work judged by some of the masters in the field and discovered by a wide audience.
  • Enter a short story science fiction, fantasy, light horror. Up to but not exceeding 17,000 words.
  • No entry fee is required and entrants retain all publication rights.
  • Entries in the Writers of the Future Contest are adjudicated only by professional writers.

DECA Coporate Scholarship Program

  • The Corporate Scholarship Program consists of scholarships provided by partners that have specific eligibility criteria. Scholarships are awarded based on the specific criteria as well as DECA involvement, leadership ability, community service and academic performance. Various scholarships are available.

Harry Applegate Scholarship Program

Deadline: January 9, 2026     Amount: $1,000 – $5,000

  • Must be a DECA member
  • The Harry Applegate Scholarship Program is a scholarship fund that corporate and organization supporters contribute to, but the scholarship is actually in the name of the company or organization. Scholarships are awarded based on DECA involvement, leadership ability, community service and academic performance.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest

Deadline: January 12, 2026     Amount: $100 – $10,000

  • Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917, the year John F. Kennedy was born. Include an analysis of the obstacles, risks, and consequences associated with the act. The essay may concern an issue at the local, state, national, or international level.
  • The contest is open to United States high school students in grades nine through twelve attending public, private, parochial, or home schools; U.S. students under the age of twenty enrolled in a high school correspondence/GED program in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, or the U.S. territories; and U.S. citizens attending schools overseas. Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarships

  • Each year the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of higher education in diverse areas of study including history, economics, law, political science, medicine, nursing, occupational and physical therapy, elementary and secondary education, chemistry, math, science and English.
  • Applicants must be citizens of the United States.

National Eagle Scout Association Scholarships

Deadline: January 31, 2026     Amount: $3,500 – $48,000

  • Eagle Scouts must be a member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA) to apply.
  • Eagle Scouts may apply for NESA scholarships beginning in their senior year of high school through their junior year in an undergraduate program or by the halfway point of their associate degree program or skilled trade program.
  • Recipients may receive a NESA scholarship one time only.
  • NESA scholarships are available to Eagle Scouts currently enrolled in or accepted by an accredited educational institution as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours) in a program leading to an academic degree (including associate degrees) or a skilled trade program.
  • Cooke four-year scholarship awardees must be enrolled in an accredited four year college or university as a full-time student (at least 12 credit hours) in a program leading to a bachelors degree.
  • NESA scholarships are not available to students attending any of the U.S. military academies.

Mas Family Scholarship

Deadline: January 31, 2026  Amount: Varies

  • Students can apply for a Mas Family Scholarship if they were born in Cuba or are of direct Cuban descent.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants should demonstrate leadership potential and involvement in community service activities.
  • While not the primary consideration, financial need will be considered during the selection process.
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university for the upcoming academic year while pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

Union Plus Scholarship

Deadline: January 31, 2026     Amount: $500 – $4,000

  • Current and retired members of participating unions, their spouses and their dependent children (as defined by IRS regulations). At least one year of continuous union membership by the applicant, applicant’s spouse or parent (if applicant is a dependent). The one-year membership minimum must be satisfied by May 31 of the scholarship year. See more details on eligibility in the tab below.
  • Applicants are evaluated according to academic ability, social awareness, financial need and appreciation of labor. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is recommended.

Connex Foundation Scholarship

Deadline: February 15, 2026     Amount: Up to $5,000

  • Be a United States or Canadian citizen or permanent legal resident
  • At a minimum, a graduating high school senior or equivalent (GED)
  • Plan to enroll as a full-time student
  • Have a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Have a history of active involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, or work experience. 
  • The Connex Foundation will award scholarships up to $5,000 each in 2026+ to individuals pursuing a career in the skilled trades (example: electrical, plumbing, welding, HVAC, carpentry).

Dell Scholars Program

Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship

Deadline: March 1, 2026     Amount: $5,000

  • Candidates for this award shall be direct descendants of veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces during eligibility dates for membership in The American Legion: April 6, 1917, to November 11, 1918; and any time after December 7, 1941. Membership in The American Legion Family is not required for this scholarship.
  • Applicants must be in their senior year of high school.
  • Applicants must complete 50 hours of volunteer service within the community during their high school years. Hours must be verified in writing by the recipient organization(s).

Lehi Round-Up Rodeo Scholarship

Utah Young Humanitarian Award

  • The Youthlinc Utah Young Humanitarian Award highlights the power of sustained, self driven service in creating lasting, positive change within local Utah communities. This scholarship celebrates young leaders who have shown exceptional commitment to helping others, prioritizing collaboration over individual recognition. By partnering with established organizations or supporting existing causes, our humanitarians demonstrate that leadership is not always about starting something new, but about joining hands with others to make a difference.
  • Write a 250-500 word essay in response to each prompt.
  • You will submit a Service Resume to highlight your community involvement.
  • Transcripts are requested solely to confirm enrollment in a Utah High School or post-secondary institution. Transcripts will not be included in the materials given to Award judges. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted.

The Jiffy Lube “Teen Driver” Scholarship

Deadline: March 9, 2026     Amount: up to $6,500

  • The Jiffy Lube “What Drives You?” High School Scholarship program is a unique opportunity to pursue your interests, goals and ideas. A simple 500 words about what drives you?
  • Four finalists will be selected in both categories from the 500 word “What Drives You?” essays. Each finalists will be guaranteed a $1500 award and then will create and submit a unique 1-2 min. video that expands on their essay in their own candid words, visuals, etc. The overall $6,500 scholarship winner will be chosen from these videos.

First Credential Scholarship (Formerly Utah PRIME Scholarship)

Deadline: March 20, 2026, 11:59pm EST     Amount: $500

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Complete the two part application
  • Complete a 2026-27 FAFSA
  • Complete one of the following experiences in high school:
  • Meet all application deadlines
  • Enroll full-time at an eligible institution or submit documentation of an approved deferral from an eligible institution starting the fall after high school graduation

**The requirements for a First Credential are determined and verified by the Utah State Board of Education, which reviews completion of the required coursework. Students do not need a physical or digital certificate to submit an application or be eligible, like in previous years. Please contact your high school counselor for more information about completing the required courses.

Karen Mayne Public Safety Officer Scholarship

Deadline: March 20, 2026     Amount: Varies

  • Graduate from a Utah high school
  • When eligible, enroll in a basic training course at a state-certified academy
  • Enroll in a qualifying degree program or receive an approved deferral at an eligible institution beginning the fall semester after high school graduation
  • Commit to working as a certified peace officer in Utah for a minimum of five years after POST certification

Utah Opportunity Scholarship

AES Engineering Scholarship
